Before the onset of my symptoms, I was a relatively healthy and active guy. Now, there are days where I can’t get out of bed or walk or take care of myself without extensive help and supervision from my family. I experience falls often, and am lucky to have not injured myself or others during my episodes of ballismus or flaccidity. My condition is highly disruptive and incongruous with a healthy standard of living. If not for the constant care and ingenuity of my family, I might not even be here. But now that I have a regiment of treatment, I can take the edge off. But I need help in order to maintain my supply of medicines and undergo whatever treatments I’m prescribed so that I can have my body back again. I appreciate every bit of help I can get, because you won’t just be helping me, but everyone who I live with and love very dearly.
